When my children were home with me before they started school, I was always looking for something they could do that would entertain them and provide a learning component, especially on rainy days. The attached files are sheets that I made for my kids to use to practice their scissor skills. There are three levels for different challenges. After we were finished practicing our scissor skills, we would take the cut pieces of paper and turn them into art projects so that we would be able to practice using our crayons and glue.
Another way we used these sheets was with dry erase crayons. If you print the sheet and place the sheets into clear, plastic paper sleeves, the plastic sleeves can be wiped clean and your child can practice tracing the lines over and over again. Tracing lines is a wonderful first step towards writing their first letters.
I hope you find these sheets as helpful as I did with my little ones.
